Rejuvenation is at the heart of a Sweetyoga retreat so by adjusting to a therapeutic rhythm your days will consist of two yoga sessions, three home cooked meals, plenty of poolside relaxation, massages or snoozing! Our retreats have a wellness culture to help you reset physically and emotionally. The morning practices are uplifting to help raise your energy levels, increase strength and explore flexibility whilst respecting the state of your nervous system and the emotional body. The sundown practices are to reframe and release tension through contemplative and restorative practices.

Whether you are a newcomer to yoga or a seasoned practitioner you will take home new body wisdom. Much of what you practice will raise your curiosity about what is behind the poses, and through that experience you will be see how yoga can enhance your life and not just be limited to your mat. The morning practices will feel familiar but viewed through a new lense for learning. The afternoon practices are about digesting the new for inner growth. By balancing the active with the passive the nervous system can unwind. You will be introduced to the Sweetyoga Self-Restore Sequences – accessible therapeutic tools to use post retreat and your yoga gift will remind you to stay connected to your practice.

NUTRITIOUS & DELICIOUS

We serve nutrient dense, delicious vegetarian meals with an emphasis on a healthy microbiome to boost your mood. Breakfast is on a self-serve basis so you can start the day the way you prefer with all other meals being more sociable, being served alfresco on the patio. We offer a selection of Portuguese wines to go with your evening meal should you want to try. Other diets can be catered for

YOUR HOME FROM HOME

The villa provides comfort with its large ensuite rooms, crisp linen and aircon. The villa overlooks its own vineyard and garden, it has a pool to cool off, a tennis court for the sporty and a 10 minute walk away is a beautifully kept river beach with a cafe which is also our picnic destination on Tuesday.

The village is well serviced with a chemist, supermarket, post office, cafe and cashpoint should you need anything. We chose this villa for its high quality facilities and country location which is a real bonus for relaxation.

Fantastic retreat, Justine is very welcoming and knowledgeable and makes the yoga accessible to all comers regardless of experience and body type. Would recommend it to anyone who is after a proper ‘get away from it all’ week.

08:00 – 09:00 Self-serve breakfast with tea/coffee
10:00 – 12:00 Energising yoga: layered awareness on movement and posture – how that impacts our nervous system. Includes introduction and a juicy savasana
13:00 – 14:00 Lunch served alfresco (Tuesday – picnic day)
14:00 – 18:00 Free time to chillout, read, nature walking or taking a massage
18:00 – 19:00 Releasing yoga: various interventions to dial down what is overworking – invite and enjoy rest and relaxation
20:00 Evening meal on the patio

Justine specialises in vinyasa practices incorporating breath work, therapeutic interventions, myofascial release and restorative yoga.

To book, first email sweetyoga@gmail.com to check availability. A £300 deposit holds your space and then the remainder is due 45 days prior to the retreat date. If you are booking within 45 days, the full amount is required. Payment options are via bank transfer, PayPal or a money transferring service. Please note we cannot refund deposits or transfer you to another retreat date. By booking you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

Many people book ahead to next year with three easy payments. You can reserve your space on a retreat for just £100 if paid by end December 2019 with a following payment of £200 on 1st April. The remainder amount is due 45 days prior to your retreat date. We offer this three-part payment so people can take advantage of securing their preferred retreat date and grabbing a bargain flight!
