INNER PEACE RETREAT

If you live a full midlife; busy career and family commitments, these retreats are for you!  Our six days together is a way to pause the normal pace of life to breathe, move mindfully, rest deeply and reconnect to yourself. Expect therapeutic yoga, breathwork, guided rest and honest conversations about how yoga can be a support off the mat. Through the theme Antaraksha (Inner Peace) we’ll explore not just what feels good, but what you can take back into the mess of everyday life as a way to stay supported and regulated.

Absolutely fantastic retreat. It was so well organised, fabulous yoga, food, rooms, views, great bunch of women. I hated leaving, hopefully I'll get to return next year.

These wellness retreats appeal to midlife women stepping into a new phase of life, newcomers to yoga, regular practitioners and often tired teachers. We co-create an experience to remember.  Through valuable therapeutic practices, we can be anatomically responsive and remedial if necessary.  We chat after practice and journal about the insights gained on the mat and how that's transferable to support you in your hectic life. These inquiry practices help you tune into your preferences, learn to practice in a felt not forced way to deeply nourish your nervous system.

FOOD

I know being catered for is a welcome pause from meal planning, shopping and washing up! My vegetarian menu is eclectic, nutritious and made from scratch with care and attention. Breakfast at 8am, lunch at 1pm, dinner at 6.30/7pm and wine by the glass with your evening meal is an option. The menu can be adapted for specific dietary requirements but a surcharge may need to be applied, check at the point of booking.

As a newcomer to yoga I felt extremely comfortable and I went away with tools to start my day more wisely and live more calmly in my busy life.

VILLA & AREA

As standard you have a large ensuite room to yourself! Sharing is an option with a friend/partner with a discount. The villa is in the heart of Portugal surrounded by nature on the edge of a well served village*.  You can take the inner lessons from the practices relaxing by the pool, in a hammock, together or in private. The vineyard is a nice place to wonder around and pick apples, lemons or figs. There is a homey feel with the bedrooms spread over two floors, two kitchens, 3 dining areas, lounge, yoga space, private pool, tennis court and patio. There is a beautifully kept river beach just 10mins walk away if you like wild swimming, there's also a bar/cafe if you just want to relax. 5 mins taxi drive away are two other river beaches and 30 mins away the ancient castle we visit on picnic day.

Justine is present, thoughtful and supportive. The retreat was well organised and communication was amazing. The icing on the lovely lemon polenta cake is that Justine’s food is fabulous, as a gluten free-er I was well catered for.

* 35km from the University City of Coimbra, in a blue flag water area and outstanding natural beauty. The village is well serviced with a chemist, supermarket, post office, cafe and cash point should you need anything. I have local inside knowledge having lived nearby for many years.

Pay £250 now & £250 on or before 28/2/2026 (these two payments act as your deposit).
Pay £500 if booking after 28/2/2026.
Pay the remainder 50 days before your retreat.
Full payment is required to attend the retreat.
