Just You & Me

My training in yoga therapeutics, anatomy and trauma helps me offer support with life experiences manifesting as back pain, migraines, digestive issues and much more. Over the years of teaching I have adapted traditional yoga by bringing in modern tools to help with specific conditions. We work with an intention to be present with the symptoms and through our mindful explorations use a method to clear the path forwards. For instance, myofascial release helps unlock pain and tension rapidly and attentive breathwork can calm a racy mind or migraine.

The beauty of this work is you don’t need to of practiced yoga before!

Through my personal experience of trauma and associated health issues, I have used these tools as a means to bring me back to health and I’m passionate about sharing them. This is bodywork, we all have have a body so why not live in it fully.

I’ve known Justine since secondary school and she was there for me post spinal surgery offering me a soft inflatable ball for the journey home from hospital and, for back support anytime. It was a life saver! Her depth of knowledge on how the body works is amazing and how my back problem affected me emotionally, her style of yoga really worked for me. Her gentle manner gave me a secure path to my recovery and I’d be happy to recommend her to anyone.

I had terrible shoulder pain, the doctor prescribed painkillers and rest but I wanted to keep active in my retirement. I was nervous about trying ‘yoga’ because of my serious neck issue. I had suffered for weeks until I met Justine, she has such knowledge of the body and it’s repairing capabilities. She explained the muscles in the shoulder with a 3D app, then we got to work on releasing the tension with a ball plus strength work and relaxation stretches. After a few sessions my shoulder was much better, within 6 weeks I was back to my old self. Can’t thank you enough Justine!

I don’t go to a yoga class but I considered Justine’s specific yoga for my shoulder pain. What started out as not much pain overtime became excruciating. I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t do normal jobs anymore so I knew I had to try something. She gave me exercises that were reassuringly uncomfortable – good pain instead of the bad pain! It went quickly and whenever it creeps back I know what to do. What she taught me was practical, it doesn’t take long and I know its there when I need it.
